Christine Parker was raised in Southern California, and began playing piano at the early age of 4 when her parents noticed her affinity for all things music (and her rare perfect pitch). She fell in love with songwriting as a teenager after composing her first song on the guitar, and continued to write and play music, as she pursued education and a career as a therapist.
After realizing music and songwriting needed to become more center stage, Christine began playing venues while living in the midwest. Drawing on such musical influences as Ingrid Michaelson, Brandi Carlile, and Colbie Caillat, Christine won over crowds with her sweet yet soulful vocals and intimate lyrics. Her self-released debut EP, “The Journey Home,” was released in January 2012. Christine relocated back to Southern California in 2013 to focus on her music career, and the result was a full-length studio album, “Looking Glass,” arranged and produced by Marti Amado, released in October, 2013 (available on CDBaby, iTunes, and Amazon).
Over the past year, Christine has been back in the studio and released 3 new singles: an original tune, “Now As I Go,” an acoustic cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” and another original entitled “Where Were You.” She has also had song placements in TV and film, including shows on Nick Jr. and TLC, Jimmy Kimmel Live and a French film. Parker’s single “Magic With You,” (not on Looking Glass), was placed in a Mitsubishi Outlander Commercial in Taiwan, and has subsequently won her many new Asian fans as well as radio airplay in Taiwan.
