While attending BIMM (Brighton Institute of Modern Music) Jamie Struthers studied guitar in various styles of contemporary music, performing with the likes of Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden) and Guy Pratt (Dave Gilmour).
At the age of 21, vocals became a new goal and was taught by the great instructors Stevie Wonder, Jeff Buckley, Otis Reading and any other CD he could borrow from his sisters collection. After a couple years of playing up and down the UK with heavier musical projects in famous venues such as King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, The Edinburgh Fringe and Amy Winehouse's favourite "Dublin Castle" he released his first solo EP "Slow Hope" (June 2012). Stripped back to guitar and vocals with a touch of percussion, a blend of blues, jazz and folk are the base to his writing and lyrically toward experiences of "the good, the bad, the worse and the better". A full LP and touring is in planning for the summer ahead.
