A young, inspiring singer/songwriter began with the strum of an Ukulele. Lukela Keala, an amazing vocalist and Guitarist began his professional musical career at the age of 17 when he released his first duo album as VALLEY BOYS. Being that Lukela and his band mate Ata Damasco was from the island of Maui, which was nicknamed the "VALLEY ISLE", it was only fitting that they were called Valley Boys. His talent as a singer was amazing, but what took everyone by surprise was his writing skills. At the age of 17, no one would think a young boy would be a lyrical genius. He then moved on into a different genre of music. As what we call in Hawaii, "JAWAIIAN" Music which is a mix of Reggae and Hawaiian. Lukela Keala then moved forward in pursing a musical career as the Co-Founder of the group Ekolu. Ekolu has been performing in Hawaii, In the Mainland and Internationally for over 14 years together and are about to release their 8th full-length album titled "PERSEVERANCE". Lukela has been recognized as one of Hawaii's amazing vocalist and he is surely is humbled at what the future has in store for him.
