USA Series Wins Best in Show!

Here at Breedlove, we’re constantly striving to make outstanding guitars. Instruments that sound so good, you just can’t put them down. With the USA Series, we set out to create an ultra-light USA made instrument with an astonishing sound and tone you have to hear to believe.

We recently unveiled two new models of the USA Series at the Summer NAMM show in Nashville, TN. The USA Concert Day Light E Mahogany – Mahogany and the USA Concert Sun Light E Sitka Spruce – Mahogany. These guitars were awarded best in show. We are tremendously proud and humbled by this outstanding accolade and distinction. On behalf of our entire team of designers, dedicated craftsmen and management team – we want to thank the judges for this recognition!

Engineering the USA Series

Sound frequencies travel most efficiently through lighter materials. With this in mind, Breedlove designers sought a solution for the USA Series that would reduce weight and bring the acoustic guitar to life in a player’s hands. Through this search, we achieved the thinnest finish to-date on a Breedlove – a mere 5 mils on top and 2 mils for the back and sides. The tops are thinner, the backs a bit thicker and the sound hole smaller to hit our target fundamental resonance frequency for textured big sound. We wanted the sound of the USA Series acoustic guitars to speak for themselves. So we minimized binding and decoration. Coming in at just 3.5 pounds, the Breedlove USA Series instruments are almost 25% lighter than other Breedlove guitars crafted with similar wood pairings. Learn more.

USA Series Review

USA Concert Day Light E, is poised to strike a chord or two (pun intended!) in the acoustic world. But there’s more here than meets the eye. A streamlined design places the emphasis on world-class build quality and amazing tone, rather than visual aesthetics. Simple in appearance, robust in tone, and versatile, USA Concert Day Light E is for the player who wants to make a musical statement rather than simply “check out my cool-looking guitar.” Read the full review.
