Ashley McMillen is a country inspired singer songwriter from Morgantown, West Virginia, currently based in Nashville, TN. In addition to being an award-winning songwriter and vocalist, Ashley made a name for herself as a radio personality on Hitkicker 99.7 Central Virginia's Country Radio. You can hear Ashley's music on virtually every music platform, including Pandora (Ashley McMillen Radio), Sirius XM Radio, among others. Sisters Folk Fest is a fun festival that has become an annual tradition since 1995. SSF is a non-profit organization that has a clear vision to bring the finest acoustic music to the warmhearted town of Sisters, OR. Sisters Folk Fest has developed into a year round cultural arts organization that supports local schools with extensive community engagement. Not only does SFF put together an awesome festival, the non-profit also is responsible for the successful educational outreach program, the Americana project, My Own Two Hands, and the Sisters Folk Arts Circle. The 2015 Breedlove sponsored artist is Luke Wade & No Civilians. Luke, a Texas native turned traveling musician is the band’s primary songwriter. Breedlove recently caught up with Scott Foxx from Burnin’ Moonlight. Originating in Bend, OR Scott Foxx, Maggie Jackson, and Jim Roy show their love for music with diverse musical backgrounds. This acoustic trio shifts smoothly between spirited traditional bluegrass, rootsy folk, a little country, swing, and some London blues! Burnin’ Moonlight recently opened for Clint Black at the Tower Theatre here in Bend, OR. They also have traveled west to Portland to play in the Eastside Bluegrass Series. One of their most exciting experiences they will partake in this summer is The National Oldtime Fiddlers’ Contest and Festival in Weiser, Idaho! Burnin’ Moonlight will be closing the stage Friday night, June 26th, and playing in town on one of the stages Thursday June 25th from 6-7pm. Scott will also be teaching a guitar flatpicking workshop on his Breedlove Pro Series D 25 at the Weiser contest! The band will be finishing up their CD and are hoping to have it ready for Weiser.
