Eric West has been working for Breedlove Guitars since September of 2005 - in the string-up department. When asked about the favorite part of his job, Eric explains "There are so many, but I think it has the be putting the strings on the guitar and being the 1st person to hear it sing, for the very first time. It is a really cool feeling." He also will tell you that the hardest part of his job is not buying a new guitar every week - and working to maintain a very high quality standard. He explains, "we build some of the finest instruments in the world and it is very hard to make sure they are always perfect." Despite this challenge, Eric, and the other craftsmen in the string-up department do a fantastic job.
If asked about his favorite musicians, he concludes that while there are so many, his all time favorites would have to be Hendrix, Bob Marley, The Beetles, Led Zepplin, Neil Young, and the list goes on forever. The list of his favorite Breedlove instruments is long as well, but his favorites include the Red Cedar C22, Striped Ebony Classic 12, Custom Revival Dreadnought, Mahogany/Red Spruce Revival 000 and the Exodus. Of the later guitar he explains, "Just an amazing Instrument. Love the retirement grade Koa/inlay appointments. Great little details you just don't see on other guitars. The auditorium body shape is an amazing shape as well.
