Breedlove LR-T CV Tuner Preamp

Overview

All Breedlove Atlas models are set up to be electro-acoustic and come equipped with the LR T CV which is a pickup and a preamp for amplification. The pickup is located under the saddle; if all of the strings are removed the saddle may come loose. The pickup is held in place by the saddle and should not be adjusted.

The Preamp system contains 4 tone adjustments with a volume knob, phase button and a tuner.

Tone:
The slider controls marked BASS MIDDLE TREBLE and PRESENCE set the tone of the pre-amp.
The Bass and Treble filters are filters to boost or cut the low and high frequencies over a broad range. The Middle and Presence filters are band pass filters which will operate the middle and upper frequency range.

Phase:
The push button phase switch will invert the phase of the signal. Phase affects the way that the guitar is pressurized by the sound waves from the loudspeakers. Feedback between guitar and amp is minimized when the sound waves emanating from the guitar and from the loudspeaker are out of phase with each other. A proper phase relationship will help the sound to have more clarity. It is recommended to try both Phase settings (with the button) in each new venue to find the best setting.

Low Battery:
The Bred battery light turns on when the battery is low and needs to be replaced. If you are not going to be playing your guitar for extended periods of time please remove the battery from the pre-amp.

Tuner:
To turn the tuner on push the button, this activates the chromatic tuner and at the same time mutes the sound so that the guitar is not amplified while you tune. When the tuner is on but the guitar being played the tuner LED light will be off when a string is plucked the screen will light orange if the note is out of tune and green if it is tune. Once the guitar is tuned, turn off the tuner to initiate the sound. The tuner will turn off automatically after 7 minutes.

This Atlas series instrument is outfitted with a ¼” jack for connection to most standard amplifiers.
