Premier Guitar Reviews Oregon and Pursuit Series with Jeff Pilson of Foreigner

Premier Guitar recently sat down with the Breedlove team and Jeff Pilson of the band Foreigner, to review two new Breedlove guitars: the Oregon Concert Rogue (new limited edition of the Oregon Series) and the Pursuit Concert Koa (new limited edition model from the Pursuit Series). View the review video above! The Pursuit Concert Koa and Oregon Concert Rogue: Pursuit Concert Koa: For musicians seeking amazing power with a clear and sweet tone, both acoustically and plugged in, the Pursuit Concert Koa is a true reflection of Breedlove’s Distinctively Crafted Sound. Its solid koa top and koa back and sides “open up” the more the instrument is played, expanding the midrange, for an even richer, sweeter tone over time. The stunning beauty of the figured koa make the Pursuit Concert KK a work of art as well as an extraordinary musical instrument. Includes built-in Fishman Isys + USB port for amplification and easy interfacing with recording software. Learn more about this instrument. Oregon Concert Rogue: Inspired...

Acoustic Guitar Reviews Oregon Concert LTD

Acoustic Guitar Reviews Oregon Concert LTD

Acoustic Guitar Magazine has reviewed the Breedlove Oregon Concert LTD guitar in their February issue of the magazine.  Check out the video and more here. Posted by Adam Perlmutter In the coastal regions of southwestern Oregon, the myrtlewood tree, a broadleaf evergreen, grows prolifically. When harvested, it’s known to yield a beautiful range of coloring, from blonde to black, and figuring, from fiddleback to burl. Sonically speaking, it’s said to split the difference between rosewood and mahogany. The Oregon-based Breedlove has long taken advantage of myrtlewood’s cosmetic and tonal beauty, to say nothing of its sustainability, for use on the backs and sides of some smart modern guitars. And now, in Breedlove’s Limited Edition series, myrtlewood makes an appearance on the soundboard of two models, a concert and a parlor. I checked out the former and was taken with this guitar’s liveliness and clarity. Balanced in All Ways It’s so satisfying to play the Oregon Concert, a beautifully responsive...

GuitarTricks.Com Reviews Breedlove Pursuit Concert Ebony

GuitarTricks.Com launched their first issue of Guitar Tricks Insider magazine.  Breedlove was pleased to have the Pursuit Concert Ebony reviewed in the inaugural publication. Review by Dave Celentano Full review can be read here. Breedlove hit a home run with their Pursuit Concert Ebony model acoustic guitar, which won a well-deserved "Best of NAMM" award in 2014.  Listed as a "gotta stock" for music instrument retailers, the Pursuit Concert Ebony is an affordable priced acoustic guitar that has the look and feel of more expensive models and brands, but at a fraction of the price. The Pursuit Concert Ebony is their best selling body style to date, and was designed after the original Breedlove body shape, which debuted in 1992. And understandably so: It’s a well-balanced and compact acoustic guitar. Fingerstylists or vocalists looking for an accompanying guitar will find the body shape comfortable – whether sitting or standing wearing a strap. FEATURES A big part of the guitar’s warmth and charm is the wood...

Mixdown Magazine Reviews Oregon Dreadnought Guitar

Mixdown Magazine Reviews Oregon Dreadnought Guitar

Mixdown Magazine is an Australian based magazine that covers all forms of music.   They recently reviewed the Breedlove Oregon Dreadnought guitar. Check out the review by Nick Brown. Breedlove have carved quite the niche for themselves in the guitar community. They work on the ethos of building lightweight, responsive guitars that are well crafted, feature innovative designs, unique materials and distinct aesthetics. Incorporating different woods, design techniques and sounds, Breedlove have continued to push their work in many styles all the while hitting a range of price points meaning they aren’t just for the rich and famous. As a taster I got to give the Oregon Dreadnaught a whirl… OD Made in Oregon, the aptly named ‘Oregon Dreadnaught’ features some usual suspects in the woods department with Sitka spruce, hard rock maple and ebony. The real eye catcher here is the Myrtlewood back and sides. Blonde with a killer grain it almost looks like a piece of driftwood that’s washed up on a beach...

Mixdown Magazine Reviews Oregon Concert Burst Guitar

Mixdown Magazine is an Australian based magazine that covers all forms of music.  They recently reviewed the Breedlove Oregon Concert Burst guitar. Check out the review by Nick Brown. Read the full review here. It must be hard to stand out in a market full of similar-ish designs, woods and looks. Of course, if you stray too far left or right, you risk completely alienating the guitar buying public. This model came with the same interesting wood selections as the dreadnaught, and for the most part ticked the same aesthetic boxes, though with a shape that’s arguably more familiar to the Australian guitar buying public. So I was keen to check out another acoustic with a slight twist from the Breed- love camp in the form of the Oregon Concert Burst. WHISKEY BUSINESS  Similar to its Dreadnaught shaped cousin, the Concert features Sitka Spruce, Hard Rock Maple, Ebony and Myrtlewood. This model has gone a slightly different route however, with stain nish back and sides. While the guitar is available in natural and burst...
