Q. What kind of strings does my Breedlove Guitar or mandolin come with?
Your Breedlove guitar or mandolin is factory-equipped with D'Addario strings. For an in-depth listing of string specifications for all Breedlove instruments, click here.
Q. Is it okay if I change the string gauge myself?
If you'd like to try a set of heavier or lighter strings, that should be fine. Note that this will probably alter the amount of overall tension on the neck, thus changing the amount of relief in the neck. You can compensate for this by making a small adjustment to the truss rod. If you're uncomfortable or unfamiliar with this procedure, please contact your local qualified luthier or repairman, or call the Breedlove Guitar Company at 541-385-8339.
Q. Do you have authorized warranty and repair service centers located around the country?
Breedlove Guitar Company offers a lifetime warranty on all U.S. custom shop guitars and mandolins that are purchased new from an authorized dealer. Pro and Roots Series guitars are also covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Breedlove Atlas and Passport Series instruments are covered by a limited five-year warranty. Warranty service is performed at our facility in Tumalo, Oregon. To make arrangements for repair work, please call us at 541-385-8339.
Q. Do you offer factory tours? Do you have a showroom and instruments to play?
Yes, factory tours are available every weekday at 1:00 PM, by appointment. Please call at least 48 hours in advance to schedule. You'll have the chance to see how Breedlove instruments are built and see the people who make them special. While we do not sell instruments directly to the public, we do have a small showroom and a small number of instruments are usually available for you to play.
