Auditorium Body Shape: The Breedlove Auditorium is the sonic mid-point between our Concert and Jumbo body shapes. Its depth and lower bout combined with its upper body cutaway produce the articulation of the Concert, with tonal depth reminiscent of the larger-bodied Jumbo. An extremely versatile instrument, the Auditorium casts a nod into dreadnought territory while also accommodating alternate tunings, fingerstyle and bold strumming. These characteristics make the Auditorium an outstanding platform for Breedlove 12-string guitars as well. Learn more about this and other Breedlove guitar body shapes here.
Ziricote Back and Sides: Ziricote is similar visually to Brazilian rosewood, but with dark greys instead of warm browns and rich chocolates. Tonally it is similar to striped ebony, but brighter. Learn more about ziricote here.
Adirondack Top: Adirondack spruce has been the choice of bluegrass pickers for decades, and seems to add power to any guitar design. Like Sitka, it has strong fundamentals and responds well to either a light or firm touch, but has higher resonance and exhibits a more complex overtone content. Adirondack is relatively heavy, with a high velocity of sound, and has the highest stiffness of all top woods across and along the grain. Learn more about Adirondack.
