CM Body Shape: The CM is an award-winning, asymmetrical body shape. One of Breedlove’s most well-known shapes – no other guitar looks or sounds quite like it. The sonic imprint of the CM is uniquely full spectrum and immensely gratifying; the lower bout rewards the player with a generous, defined bass while the abbreviated upper bout generates beautifully balanced and clear treble tones. The CM has been described as having piano-like qualities. Excellent for alternate tunings, the CM is an adventurous design that will appeal to players who wish to expand their sonic and visual boundaries.
Myrtlewood Back and Sides: Myrtlewood offers a strong fundamental with a powerful voice. Grown in the northwest, it is a favorite for many styles of playing and is used primarily for back and sides. Similar to maple, it is clear and bright with superb projection and sustain, and offers a very full and balanced sound.
Euro Spruce Top: European spruce is usually from the Dolomites in Italy, and is often thought of as the ultimate wood for classical guitars because of its light weight and stiffness, coupled with its very pale, even coloration. Provides a sound rich in overtones, focused, full of nuance and tone color — a sound often preferred by fingerpickers. It offers a quicker response and greater headroom than Engelmann. Usually takes a slightly longer period of playing time to open up than Engelmann or Sitka.
Custom Extras: Masterclass Ebony bind package, Breedlove Triangle Inlay.
