SAP Coordinator

We are seeking a computer-savvy, experienced administrative assistant to join our Engineering Team. In this position you will be responsible for renewing and supporting the Bill of Materials (BOM) process. The candidate must be organized and efficient, as each and every part of the BOM, down to the smallest detail, must be accurately maintained in the database.

To be successful in this position you should have, first of all, a great attitude. You’ll also need strong interpersonal communication skills and a proven ability to be professionally assertive. This role requires constant communication with department management, engineering, and IT. This candidate should be a go-getter, motivated by efficient project completions and meeting deadlines.

DUTIES

  • Deliver accurate and effective communication to the following teams on a daily/weekly basis: Brand Managers, Production Management, Parts Production, Engineering, and Accounting.
  • Maintain accurate and current BOMs, utilizing MS office and SAP (Business One).
  • Responsible for managing parts inventory within SAP, identify and research discrepancies and implement the appropriate corrective actions.
  • Create and revise BOMs for all new guitar models to gain accurate cost pricing.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure that all new make-part items are setup and maintained with correct cost and accurate margin visibility for BOMs.
  • Provide Accounting with quarterly updates of BOM raw material costs to maintain correct cost of goods.
  • Facilitate team communication to ensure BOM-process transparency across all departments.

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED

  • SAP (Business One)
  • Microsoft Office Suite

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience

Quality Assurance Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our production team. This position will be based in Bend, OR. The successful candidate will need expert level experience with the set-up process of a variety of acoustic instruments including installing necks, bridges, frets, and tuners; adjusting the saddle; perfecting the intonation; a good ear for tonal separation (not perfect pitch); delivering a top quality instrument to the market.

DUTIES

  • Manage the collection and communication of statistical data and finished instrument specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality.
  • Maintain quality control objectives and coordinate them with production personnel in cooperation with the managers to maximize quality and reliability and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate brand managers to determine product specifications and use to review finished products.
  • Improve product quality by establishing key product/process attributes, sensory and quality metrics, and report any discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Recording Software (Audacity, Audition; Pro Tools, Logic, Sonar are ok too) a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree or comparable work experience. 
  • Ability to deal with the daily data management of progress.
  • Comfortable playing guitar in front of others.
  • Ability to use modern equipment to accurately record a guitar and analyze the tone.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Tenacity and long-term commitment.
  • Regular walking, standing, and sitting; manual dexterity required for lifting small objects and operating office equipment.

Social Media and Marketing Communications Specialist

We are seeking a candidate who can lead a daily, highly responsive, as well as pro-active, social media program for our brands:  Breedlove, Bedell and Weber.  Must have a great deal of product knowledge and passion for acoustic stringed instruments and understand the power of effective communication with consumers across various media platforms.  The candidate needs to take into account the specific needs of reporters/publishers/bloggers and their respective media outlets, and know how to design content for our brands that meet those needs. The right candidates will also have a creative side and be able to think up PR-driven programs for our brands that help them to "create news."

DUTIES

  • Develop and execute brand social media programs that are aligned with our marketing strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with our key publishing and PR partners by delivering ad content, press releases and story/interview content to them on time.
  • Issue monthly reporting of program results to and frequent communication with the Director of Marketing.
  • The Marketing Communications role partners with other areas of Marketing and Brand Management to ensure communications are strategically aligned with business goals and objectives.

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED

  • Social Media management software such as Hootsuite and Vocus.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, journalism or related field.
  • 3+ years of work experience preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of digital and social media platforms.
  • Ability to be able to establish and lead social media strategies that effectively drives our brands’ businesses.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Must be able to differentiate needs of consumer print/industry/online media (bloggers, journalists & reviewers) and know how to approach them accordingly.
  • Self-starter willing to challenge status quo and bring new ways of thinking to the position and the Marketing department overall.
  • Ability to research and quickly analyze information and recommend best practices and approaches from a strategic and executional perspective
