Harriet Reynolds is a singer songwriter based in Austin, Texas. She is currently touring on her third original CD Take That Ride that dropped in October of 2018. She is the winner of the Austin Songwriters Group 2018 summer song contest in two categories (“Take That Ride” in the jazz category and in the folk/Americana category, “Please Don’t Pass Them By”).
She has been characterized as an Americana artist, a folk artist, a cabaret artist and the list goes on. She is at home in a variety of genres as a performer and as a writer, and she says that taking the song wherever it wants to go in terms of genre and feel is her go to mantra.
She has entertained on a USO tour, performed on Six Flags Stages, written for other artists, and performed in numerous venues both large and small. One of her songs written for the internationally acclaimed artist Cynthia Clarey is currently being performed in Clarey’s one woman show, Bridge Over Muddied Waters and will be featured in the 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. tribute, Let Freedom Ring, at City Winery in Chicago. The featured song, “See Me As I Am,” can also be found on her new CD Take That Ride.
Harriet always says, “We can write and play and sing, but the audiences with whom we share our creations and experiences are the most cherished elements of any performance.” Her warmth, wit, and audience outreach are as important to her as delivering a great song!
