Miranda Scott is an 18 year old singer/songwriter born and raised in New York City.
Miranda wrote and recorded her first song in the tenth grade. She then made a music video for it for her film class. Since then, Miranda has written and recorded many songs and shot many music videos. She plays violin and mandolin on her original songs, and also plays drums on one of them, "Don't Go." Miranda’s original song, “Butterflies,” will be featured in the upcoming movie, “Undiscovered Gyrl,” starring Martin Sheen, Christian Slater, and Justin Long. Her song “Don’t Go,” is featured on the 2014 YoungArts Alumni CD.
Miranda participated in the HBO Master Class with Josh Groban, and had the thrilling experience of performing on stage with Josh Groban at the TD Garden Arena in Boston. She participated in YoungArts New York 2013, and had the extraordinary privilege of being directed by the iconic Bill T. Jones at The Clark Theatre at Lincoln Center, in a performance piece called "Changing Light on Water."
Very proud to be a 2014 YoungArts finalist in Voice/ Popular Voice, she attends Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
