Sitka Spruce - Mahogany
Pursuit Concert 12-String CE
12 String
The Pursuit Concert 12-String CE Sitka Spruce – Mahogany is Breedlove’s best-selling acoustic-electric 12-String in the ever-popular Concert body shape. Designed for a versatile play style, this guitar is ideal for strumming and rhythm, but is also easier to play fingerstyle due to the incredible action and professional setup. The defined sound of this responsive guitar emanates from the solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides. It is fun and comfortable to play with its 1 7/8th inch radiused neck and soft cutaway, providing access to the entire fretboard. The asymmetrical headstock results in balanced and more direct string break angle, string tension consistency, and improved intonation. The pinless Delta bridge makes string changes quicker and easier. The Breedlove Bridge Truss reinforces the top making it unnecessary to lower the tuning to “D.” It includes the reliable and great sounding LR Baggs EAS electronics. It is comfortable to hold and terrific to play. You will sound better, play better, and play more on a Breedlove Pursuit Series acoustic-electric guitar.

Solid Wood Top
Along with its body shape, a guitar’s top is the defining element of its sound, driving, through its vibration, the key aspects of volume, tone, sustain and projection. Spruce will, due in part to its famous stiffness-to-weight ratio, ring loud and clear. A solid wood top translates those vibrations with more immediacy and purity of tone, and reacts more directly with the intent of a player. If you are at an intermediate level or above, you will appreciate the instantly recognizable benefits of a solid wood top.

The Concert Body Shape
The Concert is our most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.
Sitka Spruce Top
The world’s most popular topwood, for a reason. Sitka has an ideal strength-to-weight ratio, yielding a strong fundamental, high velocity of sound and a pleasing elasticity. Translation? Sitka sounds great for heavy strumming, light fingerpicking and everything in between.
Mahogany Back & Sides
Long treasured by cabinetmakers and shipwrights for its simple, straight-grained beauty, strength and workability, mahogany—used in tops, backs, sides and necks—is also one of the true classic tonewoods, famous for its clear, strong fundamental; even string-to-string balance; and warm midrange emphasis. Mahogany pairs well with spruce tops as well as with itself in single species guitars—and both combinations define much of American roots music.
Breedlove Pinless Bridge
Breedlove’s pinless Delta bridge is a distinctive element, alright, with a sleek, modern contour that adds an extra bit of unexpected beauty to every instrument, from Discovery to Legacy. But it also adds welcome functionality while anchoring great sound. Beginners love the fact that string changes are much easier without having to wrestle a traditional pin bridge. Pros love it for the same reason! No more looking for lost pins during a fast backstage string swap. And its low profile makes for perfect right hand damping.
Breedlove Neck
Breedlove guitars feature a slimmer neck profile, which enables comfortable play, even with smaller hands. The hand-rubbed, semi-gloss Breedlove neck finish also contributes to ideal playability. The labor-intensive finish process includes precise finish coat applications, fine sanding, and hand buffing and rubbing.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Breedlove players around the world can attest: With consistent, proper care, your Breedlove will give you a lifetime of service – and inspiration. New Breedlove instruments, purchased through an authorized Breedlove dealer, are warrantied to be free of defects in materials and workmanship throughout the lifetime of the original owner. I’m a bass player and play some rhythm guitar. Several years back I went to GuitarCenter and heard this guy, who wasn’t a very advanced player, strum around on a 12 string. I have always loved the sound of a 12 string but the sound of that 12 string sounded so sweet. I kind of messed around with some of the acoustics that were hanging around until the guy put the guitar down. I picked it up and started picking around on it and just fell in love with it. It was easy to fret for me, sounded so full. I walked out of that store owning that guitar!!!! Now I’m thinking about purchasing an acoustic bass for acoustic sessions and jamming on the front porch with friends. Glad I tried Breedlove!!!
