Even before he joined the Breedlove team, Ryan says he was always “blown away by the quality of Breedlove instruments.” In his current position as product line workshop manager for Breedlove mandolins, Ryan is dedicated to upholding the legendary Breedlove standards for quality. Ryan learned from the best; as he says, “Kim inspected every mandolin I built for a couple of years. I have deep respect for him on every front, so what he thinks is important to me.”
Ryan grew up in Irvine California, and graduated from The Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoneix, Arizona. He then spent six years in assembly and string up for a Bay Area guitar manufacturer. Ryan is also a musician and guitar collector (once you own 12 guitars, you’re a “collector” in our book), and he particularly enjoys playing bottleneck slide guitar. A newlywed, Ryan married the woman he refers to as the love of his life in 2013 (she also answers to “Michelle”).
