OO (2011) Mandolins

Although the American OO Mandolin is perfect for Celtic or Folk music it can hold its own across the board.  The simple teardrop shape and oval sound hole manifest some of the loudest, most unique sound that you can find.  A true work of exquisite craftsmanship, this model features a Flamed Maple neck and rich Ebony fingerboard and headstock.  Breedlove mandolins are known for their ease of play and comfortable ergonomics and the OO is no exception exhibiting a radiused fingerboard and oversize frets.  The silky satin natural finish allows you to see the beautiful woods as you admire the fantastic sound.

"I decided to buy a Breedlove OO.  There is a HUGE difference between my Eastman 604 and the OO.  The Breedlove is much more lively sounding and significantly louder.  The Breedlove sounds very open right now and it is a new mandolin.  I can't wait to see what happens in a few months!"

Love what you guys are doing! |

"The instrument is, quite simply, perfect. I am delighted with it in every respect. I don't know whether to play it or just look at it. I'd like to think that even if I could have afforded one of your more expensive instruments, I still would have chosen a OO because of its elegant simplicity. The flame grain neck and the perfect joins make it a joy to hold. And the sound. The instrument's ability to sustain notes is better than in any other instument I've played.  I just hope I can do it justice."
