Coyote Willow is an Americana band hailing from Bend, Oregon. This exciting artistic partnership joins Tim Coffey’s soulful guitar, Kat Hilst’s powerful cello, and the duo’s rich vocal harmonies, creating a unique blend of folk, roots, blues, and intricate instrumentals. Their beautiful music with grit celebrates the magical rhythms of life.
The pair have shared the stage with such illustrious musicians as Robert Earl Keen, Shawn Mullins, Sean Watkins (of Nickel Creek), David Jacobs-Strain, Keith Greeninger, and Radoslav Lorkovic.
Coyote Willow’s unique sound hails from a blend of diverse musical backgrounds. Tim Coffey hit the road at 19, spending 20 years as a professional touring backup guitarist. Today his voice and songwriting are front and center, attracting the attention of Breedlove Guitars, who invited him to join their stable of artists. Tim worked with Breedlove to create their “Hear the Difference” series showcasing a variety of the Breedlove guitar line. Kat started playing piano at 5 and graduated from Oberlin Conservatory in piano performance. She grew up playing the violin and later switched to the cello. She has recently been adding her Breedlove mandolin to the mix.
The group is a regional favorite, performing multiple venues, festivals, and private events throughout the Pacific Northwest year-round.
