In 1969, a music festival held on a dairy farm in rural New York changed our world. Woodstock would go down in history books as an event that would alter the course of an entire generation. Artists like Joan Baez, Janis Joplin and the Grateful Dead rocked an audience of half a million very muddy festivalgoers and galvanized a countercultural movement.
Here at Breedlove, we’ve been growing exponentially and we're incredibly fortunate to be expanding into a new 10,000 square-foot building, right across the street from our existing workshop. When choosing the name for our new digs, Woodstock just seemed right.
Our new building, Woodstock, will house the Custom Sound Studio (dedicated to designing custom Breedlove instruments), humidity-controlled wood storage, an extensive wood library, state-of-the-art wood curing and processing systems, additional workshop space, and two levels of security to safeguard our prized tonewoods, including the world’s largest collection of legal Brazilian rosewood.
If you’re in the neighborhood in 2014, call us at 541.385.8339 to schedule a tour. If you’re considering designing your own custom instrument, contact us to schedule a time to visit to our brand new Breedlove Custom Sound Studio.
