Zendry Dare (otherwise known as Zen) is a singer-songwriter based out of Southern California. Her musical journey began at age 13 as a brass player at heart, focusing on her studies in Jazz on the trumpet. It was apparent she needed a more expressive outlet and began to teach herself guitar, awakening her inner songwriter. Zen is currently leading the West Coast Emo band, Cold Culture. Her mission is to foster a music scene that is inclusive of people from all places. Zen and Cold Culture do this in part by writing and performing energetic and emotionally driven music that highlights the importance of mental health. None of this could be made possible without the support of the music community and people she loves dearly.
Cold Culture is a West Coast Emo band based out of Southern California. Cold Culture was established in 2016 by Zendry Dare (Zen) and is joined by band members AJ Day (Bass), Lonzo (Drums) and Xavier Rodriguez (Guitar). Together they have carved a unique sound using influences from Midwest Emo, Modern Indie Alternative, and 00s Pop Punk. The band released their debut album titled “Functioning In Society” on all streaming platforms on October 13th, 2022. The album highlights the importance of mental health and the daily struggles of “fitting in” to the society we live in.
