Al Mesa Music  – a Native American Texan, born & raised, Singer-Songwriter and live music performer, playing for audiences all over the planet from 1978 to the present. Al Mesa Music is community aired, plus a worldwide streamed recording artist, partnering with KZSM to also write radio station music themes, promos, and public service announcements like the City of San Marcos, TX. ‘Reusable Containers PSA. Al Mesa Music is a popular variety plus his original compositions and songs.

Compositions & Music Styles – Rock, Blues, Country, Folk, Latin – Cross-Cultural (English/Spanish) Soul, RnB, and Children’s Music. Performance formats – Instrumental & Vocal Duo’s, Solo & Custom Projects/Bands.

Inspiration for Songs – embracing family values from South Texas, traditional and cultural influences of iconic musicians since the 60s, performing across the US,  hometown venues, and landmarks. Themes capture love, loss, hope, redemption, healing, and forgiveness for the crossroads of my life. Kim, my wife lights the purpose for all I have done that has made me proud of doing in this life. She inspired “For Some Time’s” lyric, ‘hold on tight, pray and love her, along the way’. Other songs speak of the impacts of war on the entire family, trying to forgive, and make peace as an angry disabled Vet for all Soldiers left behind and out of uniform. Served as US Air Force Tactical Air Controller, a public school teacher, and after 911, returned to service until retiring as a US Army Joint Operations Officer in 2023 after (5) combat missions. The guitar was never put down.
