Hailie Hay’s first best friend was her acoustic upright piano. Before that piano came into the picture, Hailie’s mom wrote all note letters on an electric toy keyboard in permanent ink so that she could remember them, practicing this way starting at age 5. When Hailie turned 13, she discovered an old dreadnought acoustic guitar lying in the back of her family home, picked it up, and never put it down.
Hailie Hay has since toured nationally as an acoustic solo singer-songwriter and with her rock n’ roll band, Forrest. The Berklee College of Music alum seeks resonance in music, using her vocals and guitar to help listeners over life’s hurdles as her favorite musicians once helped her. Hailie and Forrest are currently writing and recording their first full-length album, which will follow up their debut Temper EP. Hailie is proud to be a part of the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, hailing from sunny Concord, CA.
