For nearly a decade, Joey Calderaio has entertained audiences in South Florida and across the U.S. at festivals, venues, restaurants, weddings, and private events. By blending together genres such as reggae, rock, and pop, he creates a pleasing sound that will leave the audience smiling and singing along. He performs multiple times weekly, both as an acoustic act and with his full band. During his acoustic shows, Joey sings, plays guitar, loops live guitar tracks, and uses foot percussion to establish a large sound. During his full band shows Joey is backed by incredibly talented musicians that are capable of providing uplifting music to any occasion, whether it’s laid-back tunes by the poolside or upbeat dance music.
In January 2019, he co-produced his first project Moving Mountains with the accomplished producer and musician Ted Bowne of Passafire. “The opportunity to work with one of my all-time favorite musicians was such an amazing experience,” Joey states. Later that year he released two singles – Déjà Vu (Acoustic) and Right in Front of You. In just over a year, his music has been streamed over 200,000 times. Then, in March 2020 he teamed with Ted Bowne once again to release Rise Up (Remix) which featured Ted in the 2nd verse. “It was one thing to be able to co-produce an EP with Ted, but to collaborate on a track together was just unreal.”
Throughout the years, Joey’s captivated audiences through live performances and online streaming services. If you visit his YouTube channel you’ll notice the extensive list of his cover songs, which he posts at least once a week. Joey performs about 5 nights a week and has plans to release a full-length album by next year. He’s had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists like Ky-Mani Marley, Tribal Seeds, Ballyhoo!, Fortunate Youth, and The Movement and hopes to continue extending that list. “Thank you for listening and for your continued support!” Joey concludes. “I wish you the best and hope you can find a track that aids you along the journey!”
