Leah Capelle is a visceral, emotive, and compelling alternative/rock/pop singer-songwriter from Chicago based in Los Angeles.

Following a string of recent releases, Capelle’s debut album “triptych” premiered on April 3rd on AMERICAN SONGWRITER.

Leah thrives in sharing a side of her that’s completely vulnerable and exposed while maintaining a high level of authenticity, something that POPMATTERS says is “ quickly becoming something of a hot commodity.” Whether intimately performing solo or energetically with her full band, Capelle rips open her heart, lays the bits and pieces on the lip of the stage, and shows you her most raw, most genuine self.

Often compared to early icons like Alanis Morissette and Fiona Apple as well as buzz-worthy artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, Mitski, and Molly Burch to name a few, Capelle has independently grown her fanbase to soar over 100K cumulatively on social media and is using her platform to make her voice (and yours) heard. In 2019, she released the first two singles from her upcoming LP, ‘alder lake,’ (which premiered on PARADE MAGAZINE,) and ‘know me better’ (which premiered on NYLON), leaning into the more alternative side of her sound. In 2020, she dropped the last two singles, ‘on accident’,’ (which premiered on AMERICAN SONGWRITER) and ‘i keep her,’ (which premiered on BLACKBOOK) in anticipation of the album. Hot off of a successful midwest tour this past summer & recent gigs in New York and Los Angeles, Leah will be live streaming shows consistently promoting her full length record, “triptych,” until we can all gather again.
