Travis Shallow is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and recording artist.
He is best known for his steady solo career, but in recent years has also become sought after as a producer and co-writer. Shallow also founded the independent record label, Pearly Girl Records.
After 20+ years of writing songs and performing, Shallow spends most of his time now at his newly built recording studio on his property on the coast in Wilmington, NC. With his touring schedule scaled back since the world shut down in 2020, it seems that he’s still never been busier. Producing other songwriters and self-producing his own music, he’s carved out a niche in the music world that has no strings attached and is independent and thriving.
Shallow says, “The transition after covid of pulling back from 150 shows a year to some weekend runs here and there when we got the greenlight to perform again has been really strange, new, and to be honest a much needed refreshing change. Spending most of my time in the studio working on my own music and other artists on my little label has been a new road for me. I had time to dive in, and ending up staying for awhile. It felt right at the time, and still feels right now so I’m riding the wave. Performing live has always been my first love, and I’ll always do it. The scale has just been tipped to more studio work and producing lately and I’m not fighting it at all.”
