2012 Sister Folk Festival

Sisters, Oregon ~ The Sisters Folk Festival is proud to announce a fantastic line-up for the 2012 Festival.  Held September 7, 8 & 9, this year's Festival will celebrate 17 years of world-class music in Sisters. This year’s performers bring an amazing array of musical talent and diversity to the stage. Breedlove is proud to support the event and is donating a Breedlove Revival D/SMe Custom.

The lineup includes legendary songwriter James McMurtry, festival favorite Mary Gauthier, and “Walking Woody’s Road,” a celebration of the life of Woody Guthrie, featuring – Jimmy LaFave, Eliza Gilkyson, Slaid Cleaves, and Sara Lee Guthrie with Johnny Irion. The festival will also welcome Abigail Washburn with Kai Welch, Gregory Alan Isakov, Brian Blade, Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three, Catie Curtis, Keith Greeninger, John Fullbright, Phoebe Hunt, David Jacobs-Strain and the Crunk Mountain Boys, Town Mountain, Holden Wofford and the Hi Beams, Taarka, LJ Booth, Seth Glier, Jude Johnstone, Alicia McGovern, Mosley Wotta, Jenna Lindbo, Hobbs, and more.

 

 

 “The lineup this year is stronger than ever, and has legendary performers mixed with musicians that hold a great deal of respect and admiration everywhere they perform, but may not be household names.  Our goal is to introduce new artists to the Northwest, and our Central Oregon audience, while bringing international artists of stature and longstanding excellence in many genres of music,” said Assistant Festival Director Travis Ehrenstrom.

The Sisters Folk Festival recommends purchasing the $85 All-event Pass soon, as pass prices will go up to $95 after July 31. Tickets are available from Paulina Springs of Sisters and Redmond, FootZone of Bend, sistersfolkfestival.org/tickets and the Sisters Folk Festival office.
