NEW OREGON ALL MYRTLEWOOD GUITARS
Myrtlewood is a stunning tree that grows along Oregon’s Pacific Coast. Battered by wind and rain, it grows in rich figured, colorful hues. Its musical character is a marriage of rosewood, mahogany and maple – balanced and alive with bass, mid and treble sound. Myrtlewood is denser than Sitka spruce, allowing us to sand the tops thinner giving more energy to sound creation. Handcrafted in Bend, Oregon. Each Oregon is factory equipped with LR Baggs EAS VTC electronics and comes with a deluxe Breedlove hardshell case. The Black Cherry has LR Baggs Anthem electronics.

Knowing sound frequencies travel most efficiently through lighter weight materials, we designed the USA guitars to be our lightest, most alive instruments. Achieving our thinnest finish – just 5 mils on the top and 2 mils on the back and sides. Binding and decoration have been minimized. When you first pick up a USA instrument, you will immediately recognize its lightness. When you first play it, you will be amazed at its loudness. Handcrafted in Bend, Oregon. Designed to personalize your playing experience, each Solo guitar has a Side Monitor Soundhole that virtually puts your ears in the audience while you play, without diminishing the forward sound projection of your music. We have chosen warm, solid red cedar sound for the tops; African Ovangkol, similar in sound to Indian rosewood, for the backs and sides. African ebony for fretboards and bridges. Specialty instruments are included in the Solo Series so that no matter what sound is called for in a song, you will be able to hear your music. NEW LU’AU SERIES UKULELES
Kim Breedlove was always at his best when he was designing and handcrafting stringed instruments. From walking and exploring the koa forests of Hawaii – to his home workshop in Bend, Oregon where he experimented with nuances in ukulele body design – the ukulele was one of Kim’s true passions. We have combined Kim’s original Concert body shape with his adoration for Myrtlewood – a tonewood he discovered decades ago growing on the Oregon Pacific Coast. The result is a vibrantly stunning tonal energy which delivers more sound than traditional koa ukuleles. For 2019, Breedlove is excited to introduce four Lu’au Concert Ukuleles…each crafted with Kim’s body design and Oregon’s Myrtlewood. Gigbag available separately.
