Charlotte, NC – February 18 – Arts & Science Council Grant Recipient, Arsena Schroeder, announces her sophomore EP – Anchor Down Below. This multi-talented singer-songwriter, who is known for her acoustic-driven tunes, says she has embarked upon a new sound that will be released this March.
Having released her debut EP, Abundantly, in 2013 and her debut full-length album “For My Artist Child” in 2014, Schroeder has accomplished much in her nearly four years as an independent recording artist. The list includes but is not limited to performing for Michael Jordan at The Time Warner Cable Arena, becoming a 2015 Arts & Science Council Grant Recipient, joining the Breedlove Guitars Artist Roster, and being listed by Creative Loafing as an artist to look out for. Schroeder has impressed her way into the hearts of the local and regional scene. She says, “I’ve taken time to develop my craft and to find my unique sound, and it's growing everyday. That’s why this project was important to me–to explore and to see what else lives in me to create.”
This project was co-written with songwriting veteran Tera Jackson, and showcases Schroeder’s collaborative abilities with a feature from rapper Modest Jon. Schroeder warns us that she makes her rapping debut on a song entitled, “The Call.” The project has been reviewed by her Patreon supporters as, “Still the same Arsena we know, but with a mainstream sound.” It also features abstract beats and an alternative R&B sound. Schroeder will be releasing this project -Anchor Down Below- as her sophomore EP on Noisetrade and iTunes on March 8th. Get your download at here.
