Bend, OR (December 2017) – Bend, OR (November 2017) – At Breedlove, our mission is simple: to make your music, your sound, and your playing better than you ever thought possible. The pursuit of acoustic perfection is the driving force behind what we do, and all of the collective efforts create what we call the Sound Optimization Process. It’s the culmination of everything which pushes us to analyze each aspect of an instrument’s creation. We challenge everything and take nothing for granted. This is where design meets science, where craftsmanship challenges the status quo, where age-old wisdom is expressed and quantified, engineered, then channeled into acoustic perfection. Doing it the right way. This is the future of guitar. This is Breedlove.
The Breedlove team recently unveiled its upgraded workshop stations for implementing Sound Optimization in its Bend, OR facility.
- We go directly to the forests where our trees grow and are salvaged or individually harvested – The Breedlove Tonewood Certification Project!
- Knowing that each tonewood set can vary in density/frequency by as much as 30% – even from the same tree – we individually analyse and dimensionalize each set to its ideal musical potential.
- After bracing we hand voice both tops and backs for the ideal frequency separation by removing wood from the braces and tonebars until they reach our targeted frequencies.
- At our final Sound Quality Assurance Station we record top, back and fundamental frequencies – doing a final hand voicing if needed.
The result, we are achieving Optimum Sound that truly helps guitarist sound better, play better and play more on their Breedlove.
