Watch Nico di Battista play for a few moments and you might be a little jealous. He executes complicated playing with the nonchalance of a seasoned pro. Nico lives in Italy and likes to play any genre: flamenco, Latin, jazz, new age…
We’re very excited to have Nico in the Breedlove Artist program. Thanks to Gold Music in Bruino, Italy for bringing this incredible talent into the Breedlove family.
Nico began his career in 1989 with Nino Buoncore and the release of Sabato, Domenica e Lunedi, which featured many great jazz musicians such as Bernard Purdie, Danny Gottlieb, Lew Soloff, and Chuck Ranei. In 1991, he played with James Senese (saxophonist) on Jesceallàh. Nico has played with the Art Ensemble of Chicago, Lester Bowie, Don Moyet, and respected Brazilian guitarist Toquinho, just to name a few. Nico also toured internationally with the “king of the soul music,” Solomon Burke.
