Nashville, Tenn. May 31, 2012 … Two Old Hippies, Bedell Guitars, Music Trades and NAMM are pleased to present A Celebration of Music, an evening party for NAMM attendees to kick off Summer NAMM with lots of music, food and industry friends.
The party will be held at Events on Third, located in Nashville’s historic Printer’s Alley on Wednesday, July 11. Food and drinks will be available throughout the evening and the event will feature a performance in the round by John Oates, Gary Morris, Drake White and more of Nashville’s finest. The Little Kids Rock student band will give a special performance as well. The Nashville’s Alternators will jam the night away to music of the 60’s and 70’s. Admission is free and will include a free buffet with cash bar. Doors open at 6:30pm.
A Celebrity Silent Auction will be held on the top floor with proceeds going to help Little Kids Rock, a national nonprofit that transforms children's lives by restoring and revitalizing music in public schools with economically disadvantaged kids.

Little Kids Rock partners with school districts to provide training to public school teachers and donates all the instruments and resources necessary for their music programs. In the past ten years, the organization has introduced music programs in more than 1200 schools nationally, having served more than 200,000 disadvantaged students. Since 2005, Little Kids Rock has donated more than a half-million dollars worth of instruments, resources and curricula to the Metro Nashville Public Schools, which currently serves more than 3,600 students. With the Rock'n & Reel'n fundraiser, they hope to double the program in 2012 to reach over 7,000 students in the Nashville district.
Bedell Guitars is the official provider of guitars for Little Kids Rock and is working to expand funding and reach for the program. Founder Tom Bedell and his wife Molly also own Two Old Hippies, a guitar, apparel and gift store currently located in Aspen Colorado, and The Gulch in Nashville.
