Gary Morris presents My First Love

About The Concert

After several years pursuing ventures that included television, his love of outdoors, and mentoring aspiring actors/singers, Gary has returned to music with newly recorded songs and an album, Single Man.

The music was inspired and written at Mountain Spirit, his spectacular hunting and fly-fishing executive resort in Southern Colorado.

To celebrate the album, Gary decided to record an intimate solo performance of his new material and a few of his well-known hits from country music and Broadway.

The video title, My First Love, touches on a number of things in Gary's life – his love of music, the mountains and outdoor life. Even the kind of love he sings about. The kind that consumes you in I'll Forget To Breathe. Or the promises you willingly make in If You Were Mine.

With this performance, you'll see the many sides of Gary Morris, recorded live and close up.

About Gary

There isn't a voice quite like that of Gary Morris.

And there isn't a musical genre that he cannot embrace and make his own.

After a self imposed hiatus from music to focus on other ventures, the Texas-born vocalist has returned to the road and is proud to present this live stage performance for you and those you love.

Morris is probably best known for his original recording of Wind Beneath My Wings, which won both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music Song of the Year Awards.

At the height of his Nashville recording career, Morris made the bold move to play opposite Linda Ronstadt in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of Puccini's opera La Bohème.

Next, he accepted the heroic lead role of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, on Broadway. His performance set the standard for this challenging role, with Gary receiving resounding critical praise, including a Drama Desk Best Actor nomination.

Morris' unforgettable rendition of Bring Him Home can be found on the platinum-selling Grammy Award-winning International cast album.

Gary's career in country music began in the early 1980's when he produced twelve albums that generated sixteen Top 10 singles and five No. 1 hits, including Baby Bye Bye, 100% Chance Of Rain, and Leave Me Lonely.

Morris then broke new ground with his highly successful self-produced acoustic album Plain Brown Wrapper, far preceding the unplugged genre that is so popular today.

Gary's magnificent voice has graced the historic stage of the Grand Ole Opry, as well as the White House, where he has performed for every U.S. President since Jimmy Carter.

Morris' versatile career has taken him around the world– a command performance for the Queen of England, producing a Hungarian rock band, corporate appearances, Christmas shows from our Nation's capital, and numerous network television specials.
