Bend, Oregon – Sept 1, 2013 – Thanks to the Oxford Hotel Bend and Facebook, singer-songwriter Devon Allman recently joined the Breedlove artist roster.
Devon is a blues/rock guitarist and vocalist, recently nominated for a Blues Music Award. His new album Turquoise, debuted at #5 on the Billboard Blues Charts. As the son of legendary musician and Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductee, Gregg Allman, Devon has musical royalty running through his veins, but has still forged his own career path.
Devon was recently in Bend, Oregon and made a musical discovery in his hotel room. When Devon requested a loaner guitar from the Oxford concierge, Breedlove delivered a Northwest Classic model, and Devon fell in love with the instrument. He was so taken with the distinctively crafted sound that Breedlove delivers, he made a video in his hotel room and posted on his Facebook page on August 12, 2013, with this caption, “jamming on the hotel loaner. Hot damn it’s a nice piece!” (https://www.facebook.com/devonallman)
Devon’s video started a chain of events that ended with Devon joining the Breedlove roster of performing artists.
Ryan Bouslaugh, head of Breedlove’s artist relations, says, “Devon’s career is poised to take off due to hard work, talent, and his willingness to take his music to the four corners of the earth. He also works with such charities as Play It Forward, Strings For A Cure and Rock Can Roll, which makes him a natural match for Breedlove Guitars.”
Devon is based in the St. Louis area. He plans on making Breedlove his number one acoustic guitar, both live and in the studio. Devon is currently on tour throughout the U.S.
