Nashville indie-folk band Humming House has released a raucous new live album, appropriately entitled “Humming House Party!”. Inspired by the live 1965 classic “Beach Boys' Party”, they threw a hometown house show at EastSide Manor Studios and performed in the midst of the revelry. The track list features previously unreleased original material, new renditions of the tracks from their debut album, and some of the band's favorite covers. If you haven't heard Humming House — who have performed alongside acts like Emmylou Harris, Brandi Carlile, and Lyle Lovett — this energetic-yet-intimate album serves as a perfect introduction.
The full album can be purchased via digital retailers, or the band's website. For a limited time, a small sampling of the album is also available for free via Noisetrade. The first of two videos from that evening, Irish traditional “Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ye”, is available to watch on YouTube now.
