RECORD-BREAKING DEMAND FOR BREEDLOVE INSTRUMENTS LAUNCHES MAJOR RECRUITING EFFORT

BEND, OREGON – June 6, 2013 – Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, the workshop of Two Old Hippies Stringed Instruments is bustling with energy and activity. Craftsmen are working around the clock, painstakingly crafting guitars, mandolins and ukuleles to keep up with demand. Last June, Tom Bedell, owner of Two Old Hippies Stringed Instruments (Bedell Guitars, Breedlove Stringed Instruments and Weber Mandolins), acquired a new 30,000 square-foot workshop and headquarters. Now, a year later, the company is bursting at the seams and securing additional workshop space, with plans to double production as soon as possible. “We have received more orders in the first five months of 2013 than our total shipments during 2012,” reports Bedell.

As a result of the increased demand, the manufacturing company is expanding its staff dramatically, and actively recruiting to fill up to 24 full-time positions immediately, including three pivotal roles in their rapidly expanding workshop: master builder/foreman, engineering tech, and CNC programmer. In addition, up to 20 craftsmen are needed to meet the current production demand. These positions will ensure the most compelling designs and highest quality through hand crafting, process improvement and overall craftsmanship.

Two Old Hippies Stringed Instruments is also recruiting a head marketing CoHippie. The company is seeking an experienced marketing professional who understands acoustic instruments, love of music, and can speak the language of all the stakeholders: musicians, retailers, suppliers and the media. “We have wonderful stories to share with our customers about how we secure our woods, how we design and build our instruments, and our culture and values. “We are looking for a communications expert who can help us share the excitement of the Two Old Hippies Stringed Instrument brands,” says Bedell.
