Scott grew up in the Midwest (born in Indiana), and moved to Bend in 2002. He worked in construction prior to joining the team of craftsmen at Breedlove. He currently works in the neck department, where he has a thing for precision. He truly enjoys producing meticulous neck blanks to meet very exacting specifications.
Scott has been fly fishing since the age of 12. He says when he’s not catching fish with his hand-tied flies on the river (that’s the Deschutes River, for you out-of-towners), he’s snowboarding on the mountain (that would be Mt. Bachelor, just 20 miles outside of Bend). But that’s not entirely true since he also has a lovely family, and a home shop where he enjoys building stuff out of salvaged wood, like fly boxes and instruments.
