Red Cedar - Brazilian Rosewood

Premier Companion E Red Cedar – Brazilian Rosewood LTD

The Premier Companion E Red Cedar-Brazilian LTD proves that an exquisite acoustic guitar can come in any size. Far from a “travel guitar,” this Companion is an acoustic masterpiece. We started with the finest materials, like Brazilian rosewood back and sides, a red cedar top, and a Honduran mahogany neck. Together with the Companion’s compact dimensions, they exude extreme tonal detail, punch, and balance. Figured maple binding elegantly outlines the instrument, and its LR Baggs EAS VTC pickup system offers natural, plugged-in sonic beauty. And every Premier series guitar is hand-voiced for perfect tone and response.

Features

Sustainable & Clear Cut Free
Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest and the planet.

Guitar Portrait

We are pleased to present these detailed specifications for your Breedlove guitar, which was designed and handcrafted in Bend, Oregon. In addition to its dimensions, we have listed every piece of solid wood used in this model, giving its common name, scientific name and country of origin. We use no clear-cut wood. We salvage fallen timber or individually harvest trees to minimize impact on the forest. You can travel domestically in the USA worry free with your Made in Bend Breedlove—no permits are needed, but we do suggest printing this information and carrying it with your guitar to avoid misunderstandings or prolonged waits with customs officials. If you plan on trekking internationally, you will need to obtain a Guitar Passport from the US Fish & Wildlife service, otherwise known as a CITES Pre-Convention Musical Instrument Certificate. We are pleased to help you secure the required permits through our concierge services by calling us at 877.800.4848.

Light Play Style

The Breedlove Play Style system was created to help you, the player, select your sound and playing style. Finding the most appropriate guitar to fit your sound requires finding not only the correct body shape, but the proper tonewood combinations to fit your style of play. Each Breedlove guitar is designed for a specific play style and sound, the Play Style systems assign a playing style icon to each instrument.

L | Lighter Play, Fingerstyle: One of Breedlove’s specialties is crafting guitars with a more focused, individual note-for-note clarity and tonal balance.
