CHORDER NEWSDESK, THU OCT. 16, 2014, 14:18 EDT

Breedlove`s Exotic King Koa hits the stage.

A brand new acoustic guitar of the exclusive class is revealed by Oregon-based steel-string master-makers, Breedlove.

Breedlove is a brand known for the custom shop level of quality of their instruments, a standard very hard to keep up with. Amazing consistency and unrepeatable style set the Breedlove acoustics and acoustic-electrics apart from the crowd. Aside from the build quality, models of this brand offer memorable and very elegant appearance, along with surprising practicality and ergonomy, a combo very seldom seen. To top it all off, Breedlove guitars offer outstanding playability and unforgettable tone. There is not a player out there who has tried a Breedlove and left it for another guitar. Exotic series is one of the regular series in the catalog and it deals with steel-stringers made of exclusive tonewoods of exotic origin. Almost like a full-fledged custom shop. And the price policy is on the par with the quality. For example, the new Exotic King Koa costs no less than $7,999. Quality does come with a price, but every last cent will be more than well spent, if invested into this marvelous steel-stringer.

Breedlove Exotic King Koa is an exclusive acoustic-electric guitar hailing from rainy Oregon. It rocks Breedlove`s variant of the famous auditorium shape. King Koa comes with a non-cutaway body with a 14th fret neck joint. Back, sides and the sound board are all made of the top-grade solid koa. Standard depth, length and width of the body guarantee a strong, warm and solid tone. Binding around the body and the sound hole rosette are both made of abalone, which blends in perfectly with the color and grain of gloss-finished koa. LR Baggs electronics are featured beneath the sound board. Neck is made of tropical mahogany, while the 21-fret fingerboard on it`s top and the standard bridge are made of African ebony. Exclusive and gold-plated Gotoh tuners wrap the specs list.
