USA Made

Breedlove uses no clear-cut woods in its Made in Bend models. It’s that’s simple. Custom Masterclass, Legacy, Premier and Oregon series instruments feature sustainably sourced all solid exotic and native tonewoods handcrafted by skilled luthiers who are as sensitive to the needs of the earth as they are to building the best sounding and playing guitars available anywhere. Breedlove pioneered the use of Oregon myrtlewood—which grows wild on the windswept Pacific Ocean coast, only 90 miles from Bend. Its use serves as a model for sustainability and responsibility in manufacturing. Through supplier and longtime colleague Cyril Jacob, Breedlove acquires its myrtlewood—the basis for our popular Oregon Series guitars—solely from salvaged and downed trees. With other species used in Made in Bend guitars, Breedlove is proud to be compliant with CITES, The Lacey Act and FSC guidelines; to work with established wood merchants who can provide a clear and documented chain of custody for each billet; and to engage with mills that selectively harvest only individual trees. Your Made in Bend Breedlove comes with a Guitar Portrait outlining the origin of its specific woods, so you can trust its provenance as well as its superior all solid sound.
